Sheffield Pottery’s W1A is a porcelaneous stoneware clay body that is a fantastic clay for exploring the possibilities of porcelain. While more forgiving than porcelain clay, W1A still gives you that bright white that makes your glazes really shine. Translucency can be achieved when building thin! This blend is highly plastic and ideal for wheel throwing and small scale handbuilding. Try our version of W1A with Molochite for a sturdier and less translucent clay body. |
